Jay-Z and Beyonces On the Run Tour Makes Big Ticket Sales

June 2024 · 2 minute read

It seems Beyonce and Jay-Z are in the news more for their relationship now than they were more than a decade ago when they first began their relationship, and they’re back in the news today. Fortunately, today’s news does not center around their alleged marital strife, but rather on something a bit more upbeat and happy. The couple, who have been touring together all summer on their On the Run Tour, recently received news that their tour was an official win.

The tour was a nationwide tour that took all summer and spanned the country in stadiums everywhere, and it was a highly successful tour. The power couple took in more than $100 million on the tour, which wraps up tonight in San Francisco. The vice president of Live Nation, Omar Al-Joulani, came forward this week to confirm that the couple’s tour sold at more than 90 percent capacity and that it grossed more than $100 million in ticket sales over the course of the summer.

What that means for the couple is that each night they perform, they taken in more than $5 million and perform for approximately 45,000 people. “It was a very successful tour, and we’re pleased to have that big gross number at the end,” states Al-Joulani. It’s quite the impressive feat for a show that was put together in March and ready to go in April, considering most tours are a year or more in the making.

However, that’s what happens when you’re the most powerful couple in the music industry. You make a lot of money and you sell a lot of tickets, no matter when you put your show together. Something tells us that the Bey and Jay could sell out an arena in an hour if they decided to have an impromptu performance.
